May 5, 2020 – Re: COVID-19
Residents are allowed to have 1 designated visitor during the COVID-19 pandemic. Once the designated visitor is selected it cannot be changed, unless approved by the Facility/Resident Manager. Outdoor visits can include 1 more person (any age) other than the designated visitor.
For Hillview Lodge visitors, contact Jackie-Whiffen Peters (403-823-3290, ext 240)
For Sunshine Lodge visitors, contact Debbie Laycock (403-823-3290, ext 223)
The Designated Visitor must:
Pre-arrange their visit with the Facility/Resident Manager
Be screened for symptoms and have their temperature checked prior to entry
Wash hands or use hand sanitizer prior to entry
Wear a mask at all times while visiting inside or outside
Always follow physical distancing requirements while visiting inside or outside
When visiting inside, be escorted to the resident’s room, not visit with other residents, or in any of the common areas inside the building
When visiting outside:
Outdoor visitors who do not need to enter the Lodge, do not need to be screened
Residents will be asked to wash their hands upon re-entry, and be screened for symptoms
Stay on DDSF property, or if going for a drive/walk – do not enter any stores, etc.
Most activities will also be cancelled – please contact the Activities Department at 403-823-3290, ext 222 for more information.
If you would like to set up a time to video chat with your loved one living at Sunshine or Hillview Lodge, please contact Marcel or Andy in the Activities Department.
